This blog is related to many IT Governance domains such as Service Management and ITIL, Enterprise Architecture and SOA, CMMi, COBIT, TOGAF, ISO 9000, Innovation, organisations supporting these frameworks such as itSMF and the Open Group. There are many synergies between these domains..and this is an opportunity to discuss these topics... The views expressed in this blog are personal and do not reflect the beliefs or opinions of the organizations to which the author belongs or is affiliated to.

Practitioners are seldom aware of such auxiliary documents.
Besides, the impacts of this harmonization in the application of the two frameworks are hard to quantify given that the key terms such as function have different meanings. This would also affect the already different metamodels.
Until the two frameworks and their documentations are harmonised these papers have just internal significance for TOGAF developers.
Adrian, there is a 3rd document which will compare the metamodels and relationships. Not yet published.
This is Phase 1, a simple comparaison.
Phase 2 should come with recommendation to really harmonize the 2 frameworks. This should have an impact on the next version of TOGAF.
